2010 Festival of Gardens

The Festival of Gardens will be held on Thursday, May 20 and Saturday, May 22 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

This year's tour will highlight 12 captivating and unique gardens in the Spring Valley subdivision. Each garden will be staffed by both a volunteer and a Master Gardener to guide visitors through the yards as well as answer any questions about the wonderful and unique plantings. A garden party will cap off each day's tour from 3-5 p.m. at the home of Steven Ford and Alonso Cuellar. See garden list and descriptions>>
Featured on this year's tour: The private garden of Satish and Vijaya Prabhu. Dr. Prabhu is an award-winning rose enthusiast who's yard was formerly named the best rose garden in the southern United States by the All American Rose Society. This garden is seldom open to the public and will be a delight to visit at the height of the rose-growing season!
The tour will feature a rose sale with Earth-Friendly Roses from Roses Unlimited of Laurens, South Carolina at the afternoon garden party. Ticket holders will also be eligible for door prizes from many local nurseries.

Ticket prices: $30 for Columbia Green members (Click here to become a member today!) and $40 for the general public when purchased in advance. Ticket orders will be mailed to purchasers during the week of May 10. On the day of the event, the tickets may be purchased on site for $35 and $45 respectively.
